Scheduling a Consultation

The primary purpose of the consultation is to provide direction as to how to access the legal system.  More specifically, the volunteer attorney may answer questions about:

  1. The law as it applies to your situation.
  2. The validity of your particular problem.
  3. Whether or not it would be advisable for you to retain counsel and/or where to go if you cannot afford an attorney.

However, as our program is currently designed, this ONE TIME ONLY consultation may not be able to provide you with a resolution to your particular problem.  Your visit with our attorneys should be viewed as an initial step toward solving your problem.

LAW is a service that affords you, the client, confidentiality.  ONLY YOU, THE CLIENT, CAN BE ADMITTED TO THE BUILDING AND TO THE NCJW CENTER FOR WOMEN AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.  NO CHILDREN OR ADULTS WILL BE ADMITTED ALONG WITH YOU.
